An employee in the Mantralaya has been issued a notice for submitting a recommendation letter of an MLA for his transfer.

As per information, one Avinash Sawant (name changed) works in the housing department. He was aspiring for transfer either in the Home or Revenue department. As he was not getting transferred even after repeated demands, he submitted a recommendation of an MLA from the ruling party. He had a strong belief that this recommendation letter would work in his favour. But things reversed on him as he received a notice from his department asking him to submit in writing the reason for submitting the recommendation letter for transfer.

Interestingly, there are many employees who had submitted recommendation letters from MLAs for their transfers. All of them are also supposed to get such notices.

Meanwhile, Sawant has replied to the notice in which he stated that the MLA was wishing him to be transferred and hence he issued the recommendation letter.

As per information, the transfers of employees in the Mantralaya are being done by the General Administration department. These days, the recommendations of MLAs or public representatives are not given importance.
