Although Gateway of India, CST, and Worli Sea Link are seen as the pride of Mumbai, the real pride is the living people here. Dabbawala is the real pride of Mumbai. There is a need to make their unusual work accessible to the people. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis assured that even though Dabbawala is not using technology, we will use technology to create a world-class Dabbawala Experience Centre. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that there will be no shortage of funds for this.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was speaking at the Bhoomi Pujan program at the Experience Center of Dabbewala Bhawan, Mumbai. On this occasion, MLA Shrikant Bharatiya, Corporator Sapna Mhatre, former president of Mumbai Dabbawala Association Sopanaka Murray, Nutan Mumbai Tiffin Box Suppliers Charity Trust President Ulhas Muke, Mumbai Tiffin Box Suppliers Association President Ramdas Karwande were present.
Speaking on the occasion Fadnavis said "Dabbawalas are smarter than computers, they work perfectly without making a single mistake, that's why universities, leaders all over the world study their management techniques, to understand this unique work. Being appreciated in the world".
Even though there has been a delay of 10-15 years in reaching the dabbawalas, the relationship built with the dabbawalas will continue. During the natural disaster, Dabbawala helped the Chief Minister's Relief Fund with their own expenses. Dabbawala also got delayed in getting their houses, but now their dream of owning a house will be fulfilled soon. Housing schemes will be implemented on all three railway lines.
