To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling & overhead equipment, Western Railway (WR) has announced a jumbo block of 05.15 hours will be taken on UP and DOWN Fast lines between Vasai Road and Bhayandar stations on the intervening night of Friday/Saturday i.e. on December 19/20, 2025.
According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of WR, Vineet Abhishek, the block on UP Fast line will be undertaken from 23:30 hrs to 03:00 hrs, while on DOWN Fast line it will be from 01:15 hrs to 04:45 hrs between between Bhayandar and Vasai Road stations.
During the jumbo block period, all Fast line trains will run on Slow line between Virar and Bhayandar or Borivali stations.
Western Railway said the block is necessary for the maintenance of tracks, signalling systems and overhead equipment, which is essential for the safety and reliability of train operations.
Passengers travelling late at night and early morning are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and expect possible delays due to the diversion of fast trains, the official statement said.
