WR To Run Superfast Special Trains Between Ahmedabad-Mumbai on July 12-13

This development comes as the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) in Ahmedabad has been completely shut down, with all flight operations suspended indefinitely, following the tragic crash of Air India flight AI 171 on July 12.

For the convenience of passengers and with a view to meet the travel demand, Western Railway (WR) will run Superfast Special Trains o­n Special Fare between Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

This development comes as the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) in Ahmedabad has been completely shut down, with all flight operations suspended indefinitely, following the tragic crash of Air India flight AI 171 this afternoon, July 12.

According to a press release issued by Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Vineet Abhishek, details of these trains are as under:

1.   Train No. 09494 / 09493 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Superfast Special (2 Trips)

Train No. 09494 Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central SF Special will depart from Ahmedabad o­n Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 23:55 hrs & will reach Mumbai Central at 08:10 hrs, the next day.

Similarly, Train No. 09493 Mumbai Central - Ahmedabad SF Special will depart from Mumbai Central o­n Friday, 13th June, 2025 at 11:10 hrs & will reach Ahmedabad at 19:30 hrs, the same day.

Enroute this train will halt at Anand, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Vapi, and Borivali stations in both directions.

This train comprises of AC 3 – Tier and AC Chair Car Class coaches.

The booking for Train Nos. 09494, 09493 & 09497 is openwith immediate effect at all PRS Counters and o­n IRCTC website. The above trains will run as Special Train o­n Special Fare.
