Mumbai - The effect of scrapping of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes was visible on the fruit market here. It came to fore that transactions were completely closed at fruit market as agents and traders had no money to buy fruits from the sellers. Even consumers did not turned up in the market on Wednesday. Laxman Shinde, president of fruit merchants’ body, said that this situation is likely to remain on Thursday also. The conditions will improve soon, he hopes.
