Indian batsman KL Rahul has felt the heat of cricket fans due to his controversial appearance on television with his teammate Hardik Pandya. The Indian cricketers were suspended due to the Koffee With Karan controversy but after two weeks, the authorities lifted the suspension on the two cricketers. While the entire episode for Rahul has turned out to be a nightmare, his stint on the 22 yards has also been worrisome for him.
However, the 26-year-old has managed to lead himself on a road to redemption by contributing a huge amount of money for the treatment of former Indian cricketer Jacob Martin. Martin has been in a hospital for the past month after a life-threatening road accident.
In confirmation, Martin’s family also acknowledged receiving money from the Indian opener. However, they refused to disclose the amount owing to Rahul’s request to keep it confidential. But the members stated that he had contributed the largest individual donation to the family.
Meanwhile, Rahul has been named as the captain for the India A team and he would be looking forward to regaining his lost touch.
