Mumbai Indians (MI) had got off to a bad start in the chase of 200 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as they lost skipper Rohit Sharma (6) in the third over of the innings.

MI were left in a spot of bother after the 64-run stand between Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma came to an end in the 15th over as Jason Holder dismissed the latter. Soon, Yadav was departed after scoring 37.

Besides, 18-year-old Dewald Brevis, who was just one run away from scoring an half-century in the last match, managed a quickfire 31 but his innings was cut short as he was dismissed by Avesh Khan in the 6th over of the innings. In the very next over, Stoinis bowled Kishan.

Therefore, MI had faith on Keiron Pollard. A substantial innings was needed from him and something spectacular was required but the chase was immense for the big man.

After its 6 game without win, MI Skipper Rohit Sharma expressed: "If they play good cricket, you have to applaud it. KL batted brilliantly. It's important to keep looking forward. We've come back before and we'll come back again."

Meanwhile, Lucknow had gotten off to a solid start as openers KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock put on 52 runs but this partnership came to an end in the sixth over as Fabien Allen dismissed de Kock.

LSG Skipper KL Rahul scored his maiden century of the season to guide Lucknow Super Giants to 199 for 4 against Mumbai Indians in the IPL on Saturday, April 16. Rahul smashed 103 off 60 balls, his unbeaten innings laced with nine fours and five sixes. This earned him to gain player of the match award.

After today's this win, Lucknow moved to second position with 8 points. Two newcomers on top of the point tables right now. Whereas MI remains at the lowest position, which is 10th, on the table.
