A newly wed man was stunned he found out on his honeymoon that his ‘wife’ was actually a man and had allegedly hidden this piece of information from him while getting married.

When the man’s family realised that they were deceived, they filed a complaint with Shivaji Nagar police station against the daughter-in-law and her family.

21-year-old, Govandi resident met a 19-year-old girl in a college and they fell in love. While they were having an affair, the girl’s family found out about the affair and without wasting any time, they met the boy’s family and asked him to marry their daughter.

During the official meeting, the girl’s family told the boy’s family that their daughter couldn't conceive due to some medical complications. Though this was slightly unsettling for the boy's family, they agreed to go ahead with the wedding.

Both the families set January 25, 2018, as the wedding date and the boy’s family booked a venue at the ‘New Haj Committee’, CSTM. However, 15 days prior to the decided wedding date, the venue booking was cancelled. Meanwhile, both the families married off their children at a cemetery. Though this did not go well with the boy’s family, they decided to not speak against it.

After the couple were married, the boy’s father sent the couple to Manali for their honeymoon. After reaching Manali, the boy tried to consummate his marriage with the girl but the latter kept refuting his advances.

Finally, when the girl ran out of excuses, she told her husband that she has performed ‘vaginoplasty’ (Vaginoplasty is any surgical procedure that results in the construction or reconstruction of the vagina) and threatened the boy of dire consequences if he revealed it to her parents.

After knowing the truth, the boy went into depression but his parents coaxed him to speak up. The boy revealed the secret and the boy’s parents tried confronting the girl’s parents, however, they were not ready to divorce the boy neither were they ready for their daughter to get a medical test.

Meanwhile, the girl’s parents said that the boy’s family is harassing their daughter and she underwent a hernia operation and not vaginoplasty.

We have registered a police complaint against the girl’s family for deceiving the boy and his parents. We will thoroughly investigate the case and accordingly will take action,” Deepak Pagare, Senior Police Inspector, Shivaji Nagar Police Station.
