A three-year-old boy died after drowning in a nullah at Chembur’s Cheetah Camp on Thursday. The child identified as Arihant Parvez Tamboli was declared dead on arrival at Shatabdi Hospital.

Mumbai witnessed heavy rainfall on Thursday and waterlogging incidents were reported at various places. Along with this, nullahs were overflowing at a lot of places. Around 1:00 PM, three-year-old Arihant came out of his house and started enjoying the rains. While doing so, he slipped and fell into the nearby nullah.

Residents who saw him falling in the nullah called the fire brigade. However, until the team reached the spot, Arihant had gone far with the flow. Yet, the team spotted the boy and rescued him. He was immediately moved to Shatabdi Hospital but doctors declared him dead on the arrival.
