Police have arrested a 30-year-old man for killing a woman by pressing a pillow on her face in Santacruz. The accused and the deceased woman had a romantic relationship. In this case, the Santacruz police had registered a case of accidental death. But the medical report and investigation revealed that the woman was murdered. After that, the police informed that the accused had been arrested after registering a case of murder in this case.
The dead woman has been identified as Maryam Bibi (33), who lived at the construction site of Lotus Building. Shahabuddin Nazrul Ghazi (30) lived with her. The accused killed Maryam on September 18 by pressing a pillow on her face. After that he left without saying anything. The woman was immediately taken to Cooper Hospital. After the doctors there declared her dead, the police registered a case of accidental death in this case.
But due to the suspicious death of the woman and the subsequent disappearance of Ghazi who lived with her, the police suspected murder. After the medical examination revealed that the woman was murdered, the police registered a case of murder and arrested Gazi from her residence. Police said that further investigation is going on in this matter.
