People coming towards Mumbai from Mira Road and the Bhayandar area have to face long traffic jams at Dahisar toll Naka. Many people have complained fiercely about this on social media, in light of this State Environment Minister and Mumbai Suburban Guardian Aaditya Thackeray has made an important announcement to solve the traffic problem at Dahisar toll Naka.

On Wednesday, January 19, he took to Twitter to elaborate on how he held a detailed review meeting on the ongoing decongestion of Dahisar Toll Naka with the MMRDA, MSRDC, Mumbai Police and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). He added that they are working on expediting the Metro pier construction, at the same time another lane for traffic has been opened up.

Thackeray further elucidated, "Apart from the decongestion of Dahisar Toll Naka, the BMC will also construct the proposed 6 Km long 45 mtr wide road from existing Dahisar Link Road to Bhayandar so as to create another route to Mira Bhayandar and ease out traffic, as declared last month."

To decongest the Dahisar toll Naka, another lane has been opened for traffic. According to reports, it is due to the commencement of Metro work in Dahisar, that there was a lot of traffic problems. Owing to this, there used to be a very long line at the Dahisar toll block.
