As per reports, a television actress has accused Ayush Tiwari, a casting director in the Hindi Film Industry, of rape.

Moreover, a case under Section 376 has been registered at the Versova police station on the basis of the actress' statement which was lodged on November 26. According to a police official of Versova police station, the actress has stated that the accused raped her over a period of two years on the pretext of marriage.

The 28-year-old actress, a resident of Raipur who works in TV and movies in Mumbai, has stated that Tiwari lured her into a love trap by offering her a job in TV and movies with the pretext of marriage. The girl has lodged a complaint with the Mumbai Police, Maharashtra Home Ministry and the Prime Minister's Office. Even though the accused has not yet been arrested, further investigation is underway in this case.

This comes at a time when the case of Sushant Singh Rajput has been severely subjected to conjecture. After nearly six months post the actor’s death, the lack of evidence in the matter rendered the conjecture useless.

Rajput had earlier died on June 14 at his Mumbai residence. Mumbai Police began investigating the case and after initial probe called it a case of suicide but the late actor’s fans were sceptical and began online campaigns for, what they stated, the need for the truth to be out. However, the forensic department of AIIMS later found no foul play and declared it was a case of suicide.
