Mumbai-based TV actress and model, on Monday, January 18, 2021, accused a pilot of raping her, and stated that the act was repeated under the guise of marriage.
Acting upon the same, she has filed a case against the pilot and the same has been registered at the Oshiwara police station, following a complaint lodged by her. The report states that the woman informed the police about the matter and added that the accused and the woman first knew each other in December 2020 through a matrimonial site, and over time, their friendship grew.
The pilot had promised to marry the young woman, and then eventually raped her. According to the woman, the accused repeated this on the pretext of marriage. According to the complaint, the accused is a native of Bhopal and currently resides in
Mumbai, and has been in constant contact with the complainant via phone.
The two also interacted through several chats on social media. Police said the woman contacted the accused 10 days ago and expressed her desire to meet him. Adding more information, the police said that the woman also lives in Mumbai, and had called the accused to her residence. Upon reaching, he abused her, and later spoke to her relatives and parents and promised to marry her.
However, the situation changed as the accused decided not to continue the relationship, owing to which the women felt deceived. Fed up with the accused's behaviour, she lodged a complaint of cheating and rape with the police.
Mumbai Police is investigating the matter further.
