Powai Police has got success in the case of murder of a young air hostess in Powai area of Mumbai. A person working in the building has been detained. The name of the accused is Vikram and his age is 40 years. After interrogation, the accused confessed to the murder. The air hostess was murdered by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon, all this came to light on Sunday night.


The name of the deceased girl is Rupal Ogre. She was an air hostess. Rupal, originally from Chhattisgarh, came to Mumbai in April 2023 for work. Rupal lived in this flat with her sister and sister's husband. Six months ago, she was selected for the post of Trainee Air Hostess in Air India. Rupal's sister had gone to the village a few days ago and Rupal was alone at home.

Efforts to contact Roopal's family could not be made. The family then called Roopal's friend, who reached Roopal's house and opened the door with another key, when they found her body. After this the police were informed. Police filed the case and started investigations. The police had formed eight teams for the investigation. After this, one accused has been arrested during a technical investigation.


The accused works as a sweeper in the society. Preliminary investigation revealed that the woman's throat had been slit. However, the hand of the accused also got hurt. The accused has accepted his crime. Powai Police took the accused into custody within 12 hours. The name of the accused is Vikram Atwal and his age is 40 years.


A case of murder has been registered against the accused under section 302 of the IPC. The police are also interrogating the wife of the accused.
