On July 18, Thursday, Mumbai Police arrested Bollywood actor Ajaz Khan after they received a complaint against him that accused him of promoting enmity between different groups on grounds religion and spreading hatred among the public at large.

According to the reports, the actor had allegedly created and uploaded objectionable Tik Tok video and had shared it on social media. His video was a reaction to the FIR filed by Mumbai Police against Tik Tok celebrities who spoke about Tabrez Ansari's lynching. After which, several users made highly problematic, inciteful videos.

Ajaz will now allegedly be produced before the Mumbai court on July 19, Friday.

What happened?

On July 9, Shiv Sena activist Ramesh Solanki had filed a complaint against the TikTok celebrities who were propagating hate by asking for 'revenge over Tabrez Ansari's death'.

Tabrez was a 24-year-old youngster, who lost his life after he was attacked by a mob on June 17. He was beaten to death while being tied to a pole for seven hours on charges of theft at Jharkhand's Seraikela-Kharswan district while returning from his aunt's place.
