Mumbai - The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) on Wednesday has detected four people in different cases. AIU officers detected Soraab Ali, Indian national, arrived from Riyadh by Jet airways flight carrying 6 gold bars of 10 tola each totally weighing 696 grams valued at Rs.17,77,431 and the same was cleverly concealed inside the battery of a rechargeable LED Torchlight. One Harunrashid Iqbalbhai Patel arrived from Johannesburg via Adis Ababa by ET 610 was intercepted. He was found carrying 65 assorted old and used I-phones valued at Rs.14,10,000. Three passengers named Firoj Ahmed Iraqi, Abrar Ahmed Naik and Md. Kamran Md. Ibrahim were intercepted while trying to depart from CSI Airport to Dubai by Spice Jet flight. They were found carrying Rs. 4,90,000 in new currency notes concealed in their baggage. Said currency was then seized.
