25-year-old army man Neeraj Kumar Yadav was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a hotel room at Mahalaxmi over the weekend.
Yadav was a jawan who was posted at Pune. Initial investigations reveal that Yadav was depressed and unhappy with his seniors and his family.
The Rajasthan native arrived in Mumbai on Saturday and booked a room at Mahalaxmi’s Swami Narayan Seva Ashram hotel. On Sunday morning, he checked out but after a few hours returned to the hotel. On Monday morning, when one of the hotel’s cleaning staff members knocked on the door, he did not answer. The manager opened the door with a duplicate key and saw Neeraj hanging from the ceiling fan.The Gaondevi police were informed and the body was taken away.A suicide note was found later.
