According to the latest reports, on Monday night, a video went viral on social media wherein a man was seen riding a car's bonnet in Mumbai. In the clip, a man can be seen sitting on the motor's bonnet while some people can be seen sitting inside the vehicle.

Following this, on Tuesday, February 1, two men were arrested by the Mumbai Police for the dangerous car stunt on the highway, claimed accounts. An official was quoted by news agency PTI stating that Imran Jahir Alam Ansari (27) and Gulfam Sabir Ansari (25) had gone near the sea link. During this, Gulfam drove the car, while Imran sat on the bonnet.
A passerby then shot this video and tweeted it wherein people can be seen sitting inside the white car without face masks, cheering as another car drove by while the man sat on the bonnet.

Based on accounts, the Twitter user who filmed the scene claimed that the car was headed towards the Bandra Worli Sea Link. Narratives have alleged that once the Mumbai Police were apprised of the video, the car’s driver and the man sitting on the bonnet were arrested. The authorities are believed to have checked the car’s registration number to identify and nab the accused.
Several reports have quoted Sub Inspector Anandrao Kaashid from Bandra police station elaborating on how in accordance with the car registration number Imran and Gulfam were nabbed and charged under sections 279 and 336 of IPC.
