Fort- On Wednesday around 9.30 pm, a fire broke out at Fort’s J K Somani building due to a cylinder blast which occurred on the third floor of the three storey building. The fire brigade declared it as a second call around 09.45 pm but the fire escalated around 2 am in the night and fire brigade officials immediately vacated the building. However, this massive fire caused cracks in the building and a part of the building collapsed. The fire engulfed electrical wires, AC machines and office furniture but fortunately there was no casualty reported. For now, fire engines have brought the fire under control.
