Ace Bollywood actor Jeetendra has been accused of sexually harassing his cousin (father’s sister), who, after 47 years has now come forward and filed a police complaint with Himachal Pradesh’s Director General of Police.

The complaint mentions that the incident took place in January 1971, when the actor was 28 years old and she was 18 when he invited her to join him on the set of his movie, located at Shimla. Upon reaching the place, the actor assaulted her when he returned from the shoot in an intoxicated state.

Jeetendra’s lawyer has issued a statement which denies any such incidence.

“Such baseless, ridiculous and fabricated claims cannot be entertained by any Court of law or the law enforcement agencies after a span of almost 50 years. The Statute has provided a justice delivery system through the Courts, and the Limitation Act 1963 was specifically enacted to ensure that all genuine complaints are made within a maximum time limit of three years so that a proper investigation is carried out and timely justice is delivered. The timing of this baseless complaint seems to be nothing but a miserable effort made by a jealous competitor to disrupt the business activities of my client and his esteemed company,” said the statement issued by advocate Rizwan Siddiquee.

The 75-year-old actor made a mark with many characters he played onscreen. Today, his daughter, Ekta Kapoor and wife Shobhaa Kapoor rule the Television industry with many shows produced under Balaji Telefilms. His son, Tusshar Kapoor has also gained popularity in Bollywood with his roles.
