Baba Siddique was shot dead on October 12, 2024, outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra (East). Singh, a resident of Punjab, was arrested in November 2024 in connection with the case.
The court set strict conditions for Singh’s bail: he must report to the Mumbai police every alternate Monday, stay within Maharashtra, surrender his passport, and not leave India without permission. The bail applies only to Singh and does not affect the other accused.
Singh’s lawyers argued there was no direct evidence linking him to the murder, while the prosecution has charged all accused under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
