The Bombay High Court premises in South Mumbai's Fort area were evacuated on Friday afternoon following a bomb threat. A similar alert was reported at the Delhi High Court as well.

Court proceedings at the Bombay High Court were abruptly suspended as judges, including Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, promptly left the courtroom.

In response to the threat, the Bombay Bar Association (BBA) and the Advocates Association of Western India (AAWI) advised their member advocates to vacate the premises. Security agencies swiftly deployed the bomb detection and disposal squad along with a dog unit to carry out a thorough search of the premises.
