The Mulund resident who faced the torment in a Churchgate-bound train had alleged that when she reported the incident on the police helpline number, the policemen on duty laughed at her. Furious, she took to a social networking website and posted her incident, which went viral. After which, the said RPF was sent a notice for the misconduct.

The incident took place on 24 May, when the woman was travelling in a ladies compartment and saw a man flashing in the adjacent coach meant for handicapped persons.
