The whole incident was captured on camera after which the video went viral on social media. So far, four people have been detained in this matter.

On Thursday evening, a group of hawkers and goons allegedly attacked the policemen in the area of D.N. Nagar in Andheri, when the police were patrolling in the area. The whole incident was captured on camera followed by the video going viral on social media. According to the police, senior inspector, Parmeshwar Ganame was assaulted by the hawkers.

On Thursday evening, the employees of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Mumbai police went for drives to remove the hawkers sitting on the way in Juhu Galli on Gilbert Hill Road in Andheri (West). Police said that the hawkers opposed it and retaliated. After this, a large number of police personnel reached the spot. First, they removed the hawkers from the way and then cleared the people who were protesting against it.

The police have registered a case under Section 323 of the Indian Penal Code. Four people have been detained in this matter, while the police are still investigating this matter further.
