In Bollywood actress Jiah Khan’s suicide case it was probed by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) that the suicide has ruled out tampering of the CCTV footage at her residential building.

On June 3, 2013, the actress was found hanging in her room following to which actor Sooraj Pancholi was arrested for abetment of suicide by Mumbai Police. The actress’ mother, Rabia had claimed that her daughter’s death was not a suicide but a murder.

On Wednesday the CBI submitted the report of the forensic lab on examination of CCTV footage of the building. The report was studied on the order of the Bombay high court on the petition of Jiah’s mother Rabia, who claimed the footage, had been tampered with.

A statement from the Directorate of Forensic Science, Gandhinagar reads, “Edits/alterations/modifications were not observed within the CCTV footages presented in the hard disk.”
