Due to heavy rains in Mumbai in the last few days, Vasai and Virar faced power cuts and as there was no electricity, people couldn't charge their phones
Mumbai was lashed with heavy downpour this week and the citizens faced many problems due to the rain. The rains were so persistent that the backbone of the city, the local trains had come to a standstill. Along with this, the areas near the Virar-Vasai belt faced power cuts for two-three days.
Due to no electricity, the people were not able to charge their phones. But nothing could stop the ‘determined’ people willing to charge their phones and so they decided to find a way to charge their phones. After a while, they realised that railway station is the only place that has electricity.
So the people charged their phones in the plugs which powered the CCTV cameras. Gradually, more people started following this and due to this, the CCTV cameras at Virar and Vasai stations remained non-functional for almost three days.
