A couple of years ago, online shopping was a complicated process that not many could understand and was avoided by the majority throughout the country. The suspicion regarding fraud and fraudulent products always hovered over the people’s minds. However, companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal simplified the process and ensured that people could shop online without any trouble.

However, online shopping will never be the same for Dadar’s Siraj Khan. On Wednesday, Siraj received a soapbox after he had ordered a Xiaomi Note 5 Pro from an online shopping portal.

Siraj is a resident of Sewri and had ordered the phone after his daughter scored 85 per cent in her SSC examinations. Siraj was excited to gift his daughter and had made the payment of ₹16,675 online. But as soon as the box was opened, he was left shocked to see a soap packet!

In response, he has reported the issue to the online shopping company which promised to return his cash back. He also has registered a complaint in the R.A. Kidwai Police station at Sewri.
