An 18-year-old married woman committed suicide by hanging herself in Dahisar. In this case, a case has been registered against the woman's husband and mother-in-law on charges of inciting suicide and domestic violence on the complaint of the father. It has been alleged in the complaint that the woman committed suicide due to physical and mental harassment for the gold ornaments and motorcycle.
The name of the dead woman is Jyoti Wadari (18) and she hanged herself with the help of a saree in her house in Ketkipada area of Dahisar East on Thursday. She was taken to Shatabdi Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Jyoti's father Manoj Kumar Reddy has lodged a complaint with Dahisar police in this matter. Accordingly, Dahisar police have registered a case against Jyoti's husband Kailas Wadari and mother-in-law Anantama Wadari.
Jyoti got married in the month of January itself. According to the complaint, Jyoti had told her father that her mother-in-law was not giving her food without any chores. Also, it has been said in the complaint that the husband was after her to give him the motorcycle and the mother-in-law was behind her to bring the gold ornaments. Because of this, Jyoti's father has accused her of committing suicide. Police are investigating further in this matter.
