Mumbai’s popular underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar has been arrested by Thane Police’s anti-extortion cell based on an ongoing case of extortion.
City’s encounter specialist Pradeep Sharma, who was recently instated in anti extortion cell in Thane, arrested Kaaskar. According to reports, it is being a said that Kaskar’s gang members had repetedly called a businessman demanding extortion. On receiving information and complaint, Sharma and his team acted on it, arrested Kaskar on Monday, who is currently under interrogation with anti extortion cell officials at Thane.
Going back to the 2015, Dawood’s brother, Kaskar, was arrested for the extortion case, but later granted bail. He was also deported from UAE to India in 2003 as his name was allegedly involved in an illegal construction case. However, in 2007 he was acquitted from both the cases.
City’s encounter specialist, Pradeep Sharma, has been a popular name and has gained a lot of respect for the successful career where he has served loyally for the past 25 years, and as per records has reportedly killed more than 100 gangsters from Mumbai’s underworld circuit.
