Day by day as cashless transactions are increasing, cyber crimes have also increased. Many people are falling prey to debit card fraudsters. Hari Kushwaha, 24 years old, became the victim of a cashless transaction and lost Rs. 52,000.

 

On 3 March 2017, Malad resident Hari Kushwaha went to a TV shop with his wife. He decided to swipe his debit card. Meanwhile, he got a call from his friend and he forgot his card on the table and went outside the store to attend the call. He came back, paid the money and went home with a TV.

 

After reaching home, he got a message of the transaction which stated that Rs. 52,000 has been debited from his bank. He immediately called the bank and told the ordeal. Then he was informed that someone exchanged his card with a fake card and did the transaction. The CCTV footage is being investigated and police are now searching for the accused.
