Delhi High Court on Saturday granted anticipatory bail sought by veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty’s wife Yogeeta Bali and son Mimoh. The mother-son duo are accused of rape, cheating and abortion without consent by an actress on the pretext of marriage.
Mimoh's wedding was put off after a police team arrived at the venue to investigate the complaint of rape filed against the groom. His wedding was scheduled for Saturday at the actor's posh hotel in Udhagamandalam (Ooty), Tamil Nadu.

The police, however, said that the ceremony got cancelled and the bride along with her family left the venue post the arrival of the investigating team. The actor was supposed to tie the knot with yesteryear actress Sheela Sharma's daughter Madalsa Sharma. The duo got engaged in March this year at a low-key ceremony that was held in Mumbai.
Rohini court had earlier ordered registration of an FIR against Mahaakshay (Mimoh) and Yogeeta after the actress filed a complaint against them. In the complaint, she stated that Mahakshay had made a physical relationship with her after promising to marry her. The complainant also alleged that she had become pregnant, but Mahaakshay (Mimoh) gave her some drug to induce abortion.
