A delivery boy was allegedly assaulted in Poisar by six Shiv Sena party workers.

As reported by the ANI, on Thursday, the Maharashtra police, arrested four Shiv Sena workers, one of whom is claimed to be a branch chief for allegedly assaulting a delivery boy in Poisar, Kandivali in Mumbai.

The police state that a case in regards to this has been registered against the six accused, two of whom are currently absconding.

According to reports, the complainant Rahul Sharma lodged a complaint in Samta Nagar police station, Mumbai. He is said to reside in Jai Hind Chawl, Poisar, Kandivali East and works for an e-commerce site as a delivery agent.

Whilst delivering a parcel on Tuesday afternoon, it began raining, thus he sought refuge outside a branch office of Shiv Sena at Poisar Shivaji Maidan. The authorities elaborated that when he was standing there Chandrakant Nineve, the said party’s worker, stepped on the parcels.

When asked to take care of the parcels by the delivery boy, the party worker began abusing him which intensified with five more workers assaulting the boy.

Therefore, under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code, a case has been registered against the six workers. The authorities also stated that whilst four are arrested, two are absconding with the further investigation still afoot.
