Two young women lost their lives in an accident when their two wheeler got hit by an oncoming car. The incident took place on the Palm Beach road, Navi Mumbai, where the two young women were returning home after a night shift from the call center when their bike was hit by a car. One girl died on the spot while the other died while undergoing treatment. The names of the girls who died in the accident are Sanskriti Khokle (age 22) and Anjali Pandey (age 19).
Sanskriti used to leave Anjali at Bonkode village after her night shift between seven in the morning. When they came near the Veershaiva cremation ground near Bonkode, they were hit by a speeding car coming in front of them. After the accident, the car driver left without helping them. In this, Sanskriti who was riding the bike died on the spot while Anjali was admitted to the hospital by the people nearby. But she died while undergoing treatment.

According to the preliminary investigations, it is understood that she was driving the scooter in the opposite direction. Assistant Police Inspector Vijay Upale is conducting further investigation in this case.

Meanwhile, while informing about the accident, the police said that the driver of the Skoda car fled from the spot after the accident. The police have registered a case against that car driver. They are checking the footage captured by the CCTV cameras in the area to trace the number of the car and its driver, said Senior Police Inspector of APMC Police Station Ajay Shinde. At present, a case under section 281, 125 (a), 125 (b) and 106 has been registered against the unknown accused.
