The Mumbai Police succeeded in nabbing a gang that had come to Byculla to sell fake notes, and raided a place in Palghar district where the notes were made and seized all the materials. Umran alias Asif Balbale (48), Yasin Shaikh (42), Bhim Badela (45), Neeraj Vekhande (25) and others have been arrested in this case.


Senior police officers of Byculla Police Station had received information that three persons would come to Byculla East to sell fake Indian currency notes. After that, two teams were deployed at the respective places. After some time, when the three suspects who came to the place were searched, fake notes were found on them. After that, a case was registered and three people were arrested.

After investigation, police got information that fake currency notes are being printed in Wada taluka of Palghar district. After searching for other accused for two days, they got information about the place where the notes were printed. Materials required for printing notes were found at the relevant place. Laptops, printers, laminators, A-four size butter paper, mechanical grates and various other stationery materials have been seized from the place raided by the police.
