Wadala - Extortionists in Kokari area troubled every shopkeeper in the premise of Mhada chawl in Wadala. The leader of the gang, Surya Devendran was arrested by police. The gang includes two women and three men. Assistant Inspector, Wadala TT Police Station, Prakash Linge stated that police is searching absconding gang members.
Localite Pan seller Mohammad Anisur Rehman Yunus Ali told Mumbai Live we were troubled to the core at the hands of gang members. Several times we closed our shop out of fear.
The extortionists even threatened the family members of the shop owners in the area. Pan seller filed the complaint in the police station. To which cops took action and arrested the gang leader.
