Unknown assailants have shot and killed Sauji Manjiri, a famous builder in Navi Mumbai, in broad daylight. 65-year-old Sauji Manjiri was one of the five partners of Imperia Group.
He had left by car for some work in the Nerul area of Navi Mumbai around 5:30 pm. Around that time, two motorcyclists came near his car in Sector 6 and before he knew it, they fired at him indiscriminately. Sauji was hit by bullets and seriously injured and died shortly thereafter.
After the firing, the assailants escaped from the spot. Considering the seriousness of the case, Deputy Commissioner of Police Amit Kale, Deputy Commissioner Pansare along with Crime Branch officers and PI of Nerul Police Station inspected the spot.
Police suspect that the murder may have been over land, property or some financial transaction. The police have started an investigation into the matter. Police are investigating who fired at Sauji Manjiri and why. The police have taken the body into custody.
Savaji Manjiri is a big name in the construction business of Navi Mumbai. There is an atmosphere of concern among the entrepreneurs of the city due to the killing of a construction professional in broad daylight.
