In order to frame choreographer Remo D’Souza, Producer Satyendra Tyagi tried killing himself in 2017. He gave this information to the police. A few days ago, police arrested Tyagi for threatening D’Souza and his wife with the help of notorious gangster Ravi Pujari.

Both Tyagi and D’Souza were working on the film ‘Death of Amar’. D’Souza had signed actor Rajiv Khandelwal for the lead role but due to some financial woes, the film was stalled.

Tyagi told the police that he had invested ₹5 Cr on the film and was in need of a NOC. But, D’Souza was not giving the same and this enraged Tyagi who asked gangster Pujari to threaten him.

Ravi Pujari started threatening and asked for ₹50 lakh for himself and a NOC letter for Tyagi. When D’Souza stopped answering his calls, he started threatening his wife Lizelle D’Souza.

Prior to this, at the behest of D’Souza, Tyagi had filed a fake complaint against Ravi Pujari’s shooter Gunda Prasad at Uttar Pradesh’s Sihani Gate police station. When police found out about this, a case was filed against D’Souza. Related to this case, Tyagi’s and Ravi Pujari’s conversation went viral on YouTube.

Upon interrogation, police found out that Tyagi shot himself using his friend's revolver.

Tyagi agreed to the crime and he also admitted that he was in touch with Ravi Pujari. Tyagi had also met Pujari’s aide Kamruddin who is now imprisoned.
