A case has been registered in Nagpada police station against jailed NCP MLA Ramesh Kadam for abusing on duty police personnel and threatening them of using the breach of privilege against them. An FIR has been registered on the basis of complaint registered by assistant police inspector Manoj Pawar.
Kadam, who has been serving a jail term in Byculla Jail for his alleged involvement in the scam related to the Annabhau Sathe Mahamandal , was being taken to the JJ Hospital for medical check-up. Kadam then used very abusive language against ASI Manoj Pawar and also threatened of bringing a breach of privilege motion against him. The police personnel had shot this video due to the alleged aggressive behaviour of Kadam.
An offence has been registered against Kadam under relevant sections of the law. The statements of seven police personnel seen in the video clip are being registered, informed Mumbai Police spokesperson Rashmi Kadam.
The act of Kadam abusing the police personnel may create an obstacle for him getting a bail from the court.
