Parel- On Saturday morning, a fire broke out at Parel’s Tata Memorial hospital’s basement around 9 am. Fortunately, there was no casualty but medicines got charred in a fire.
Workers got to know about the fire when they saw the smoke coming out the basement. They immediately informed the fire brigade department and Bhoiwada police. The latter closed down Jerbai Wadia road for the operation to go smooth. Four fire engines, three tankers and one rescue vehicle reached the spot and were successful in dousing the fire.
“We don’t know the exact reason what caused the fire. We will investigate for the same. There was no casualty,” said Ashok Bankar, fire officer.
