Mulund- On Saturday evening around 7 pm, a fire broke out at BEST bus nearby Mulund railway station.
The engine of the bus no. 402 caught fire while on its way to Mulund check naka bus depot. Fortunately, the bus was empty and so no casualty was reported. “As the bus caught fire, I stopped the bus and contacted the fire brigade which then successfully doused the fire,” said Sanjay Jadhav, bus driver.
As the driver applied brakes in the middle of the road, there was a traffic jam for a while, but after some time, the situation was under control, informed senior PI Rajaram Vhanmane.
