Sakinaka Police held 4 in cheating case

Posing as officials of MHADA and duping a good number of people after swindling crores of money from them, Sakinaka police have arrested the main accused 4 days ago. And now the police have been successful in nabbing three other people on Tuesday. As a matter of fact, altogether 4 people of this gang have been arrested so far.

The names of the people arrested are Nizam Sheikh (31), Qutubuddin Mehadpoorwala (31), Naushad Kamaal Khan (28) and Abrar Mohammed Yusuf Sheikh (48). Abdul Bari Khan who resides at the Khairani Road in Sakinaka had lodged a complaint that his relative was duped by Nizam Sheikh of Rs. 2 lakhs in the year 2012 and the latter had promised to get his relative a home in MHADA. Then Sheikh, later on, swindled around 50 lakhs from his other relatives saying that he would give him flats worth Rs. one and a half crore. Sheikh posed himself as one of the officials of MHADA.

On suspicion, when Abdul and his relatives went to MHADA’s office, the reality shook their ground and they were alarmed completely. Later on, realising the situation they all filed a complaint in the Sakinaka Police Station after which the police nabbed four of them and is now conducting further investigations.
