The Crime Branch sleuths have arrested four persons who used to rob the needy passengers by giving them lift in their vehicle. Noor Alam, Depu Marwadi, Salman Mohmmed Amir and Chhotu are the names of arrested accused. Their modus operandi was to give lift to the stranded commuters on sharing basis. Midway, the gang used to rob such a passenger and flee from the spot by leaving the passenger on road. After receiving many complaints in this connection, Navi Mumbai and Mumbai Police engaged the Crime Branch sleuths in tracing the accused. Police received a tip-off that the suspects live in Wadala and accordingly they laid a trap and arrested the accused.
