Ghatkopar - A nuclear family was on bike riding towards Mankhurd from Ghatkopar on Tuesday. Suddenly a dumper hit the bike from rear and the baby fell down from the lap of the mother and baby came under the tyres of the dumper. The baby died on the spot. People flocked to the accident spot on Ghatkopar-Mankhurd link. Police came on the spot and started hitting people with lathis. Residents have demanded footover bridge but in return only speed breakers were constructed which are the cause of accidents. People demanded traffic signal or foot over bridge but it seems corporation is not hearing.
