Guy infamous for break-ins, molestation and other such heinous crimes in Kandivali Samtanagar has been finally nabbed by the Samtanagar police this Saturday. The name of the accused is Manohar (alias) aka Maniya Shinde. The incident is of 9:00 p.m. yesterday when Maniya was drinking with his two other friends seated on the bonnet of a car owned by some Sumit Das. The owner of the car, Sumit reached his car and the three of them to get down, but Maniya and his friends not only started a verbal spat with Sumit, but they started thrashing him as well. Another person named Vaibhav Gawde present at the situation tried to settle the clash among the four, but, Maniya in his spite struck Vaibhav with a sharp weapon on his throat for around 3 to 4 times.
The Samtanagar police had earlier admitted Vaibhav to the Shatabdi Hospital but then they shifted him to Nair Hospital later, where his condition is said to be quite critical.
On the other hand, the duty officer of Samtanagar Police have filed a case against Maniya under the IPC sections of 307, 34, 504, 506(2), 37 and 159 and have arrested him and was presented in court today on Sunday.
