Mumbai International Airport has been in the limelight for being a ‘gold’ hub as recently, gold has been seized at the airport. Now, it’s time for some cocaine!
Around 21 Cr worth cocaine was found at the airport. A woman was carrying over three kg of cocaine and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) nabbed her. Melgar de Claudia (38), is a Bolivian resident.
NCB were tipped about a woman with Melgar’s description. The tip included the fact that she would be carrying cocaine with her. NCB laid out a trap and arrested her as soon as she landed.
The cocaine she was carrying was extremely well hidden in the inner compartment of her trolley bag. Smuggling drugs into India with the help of women has grown frequent lately
NCB seized 17 kg of cocaine last month and five kg before that.
