Mumbai Airport -
Next time, whenever you are flying to some place within India or abroad, you may want to check the trash bins at the airport since you might get lucky. Don't believe us? Well, this is precisely what happened at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on Wednesday.
Turns out that the Air Intelligence Unit at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport found gold worth Rs. 70 lakh from the trash bin. The gold that they seized weighed 2.355 kg out of which 1.5 kg is gold jewellery and rest are gold biscuits.
Moreover, it was actually through the CCTV footage, that the AIU got the clues. The gold was wrapped in a black tape and was recovered from the dustbin of the gent’s washroom opposite the conveyor belt 5 which was apparently to be smuggled into the country.
Wondering what is it that the Air Intelligence Unit may find next in the trash bins. Diamonds may be?
