Man arrested for killing wife owing to his dislike for her

The MHB Police nabbed a guy by the name of Asif from Barabanki, U.P., on the charge of killing his wife just because he did not like her much.

According to the police commissioner of Circle 11, Vikram Deshman, the police immediately reached the scene after receiving information about a woman's body being found behind the Gorai Bus Depot on April 10. The police after seeing the body of the woman inferred that she was strangulated to death. Since all the clues that would help in her identification were missing, the police ended up sending her body for the post-mortem.

Further, it was during the investigation that the police found that her name was SabreenSiddiqui and is 22 years old and she had come down to Mumbai with her husband only a few days ago. Sensing trouble because of the ongoing investigation of the police, husband Asif Siddiqui fled from Mumbai to Uttar Barabanki home. The police team however already having suspicions about Asif fleeing to UP reached Barabanki and arrested him. During the interrogation, Asif told the police that he did not like Sabreen and did not know what to do which is why he took her to behind the Gorai bus depot and strangulated her.
