Mumbai- Indore Patna express which got derailed due to the rail fracture had its coaches repaired in Mumbai. During this incident, several coaches which got damaged underwent repair work in Parel’s workshop. Almost one and half month those coaches were in Parel’s workshop.
Train accident took place on 20th November which claimed 148 lives. Though rail fracture is considered as a prime reason for accident, one cannot avoid Mumbai’s connection. These coaches belonged to Western Railway.
