Kalyan - The Kalyan Government Railway Police (GRP) has nabbed a gang that used to rob railway passengers at knife point.
One such robbery took place on the Pataliputra Express on 20 December, where the gang got in at Kalyan station and robbed five passengers on the LTT-Pataliputra Express. The police have recovered 10 mobile phones, Rs. 70,000 in cash and two knives from the gang. “We were on the lookout for this gang for a long time. We laid a trap for the gang and caught them. Further investigations are on,” said GRP commissioner Niket Kaushik.
