Kap’s Café, a Surrey-based business owned by comedian Kapil Sharma, has been targeted in a shooting incident for the second time in less than a month, raising growing concerns about violence and possible extortion threats in the area, according to local media reports.

The latest attack occurred early Thursday morning near the intersection of 85 Avenue and Scott Road. The café was left with at least six bullet holes, shattered glass, and damaged windows as Surrey Police arrived on scene to begin their investigation. The motive behind this second shooting remains unclear.

Local residents were jolted awake by the sound of gunfire. Speaking to CityNews 1130, area resident Bob Singh said, “I saw it from my patio. I heard shots fired, like five or six shots, and then the cops came.” Another resident, Michelle Gaucher, added, “At 4:35 a.m., we were woken up to eight gunshots,  it was not fireworks. When I drove by, it’s closed off for about a block and there are emergency vehicles there.”

This incident mirrors a previous shooting at the same location in early July just days after the café had opened. In that attack, shots were fired while staff were inside, but no injuries were reported. No arrests have been made in either case, and authorities have yet to determine a motive.
